I do believe that Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin landed on the moon and walked around picking up rocks. As for the other guy who might or might not have got left behind - I don't know. Perhaps only the CIA knows for sure.
As for what bugs me? I'll take a wait and see until there is more evidence.

Some things are just hard to believe. When news reached London and New York that the Titanic had struck an iceburg and sunk - it was hard to believe because the mightiest ship of its day had been declared unsinkable.
It was hard for many at the time to believe that NASA had actually landed its two astronaut onto the moon's surface and that these men had walked upon its surface without sinking into the mile of dust on the surface.
The astronaut in the middle was left behind, according to some. It was said that Hollwood then made a movie, Left Behind, with the left-behind astronaut's son playing the main role -determined that one day he/she/it (it is still undetermined what this astronaut-to be-pronoun he/she/it wishes to be) would find employment with Elon Musk, which he musk do if he wants to get into out-space at a reasonable cost, and make it to the moon where he can search the great underground caves where possibly his father may be eating moon pies to survive while he anticipates NASA shall return. Let us hope this ambitious budding astronaut will make it to the moon before his dad runs out of moon pies.
So, who can really say what is true today will be true tomorrow. You be the judge.
